ABOUT THE PROJECT
‘‘Wild Voices‘‘ is the first solo exhibition by the wildlife photographer and visual storyteller Alexandra Surkova.
MORE THAN A PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION
Wild Voices transforms wildlife photography into an immersive emotional experience — combining large-scale fine art images, soundscapes and QR‑accessible voice narratives to explore the fragile relationship between humans and the natural world.
The project symbolically ‘gives voice‘ to endangered species, inviting the viewer to reflect on coexistence, conservation and the invisible emotional connection we still share with the wild world.
Through intimate wildlife encounters and emotional visual storytelling, the photographs explore not only the beauty and vulnerability of animals, but also the complex connections and interactions between different species themselves — revealing moments of communication, tension, tenderness, coexistence and survival that often mirror aspects of human emotion and behavior.
Structured through different ecosystems and species from around the planet, the exhibition moves between beauty, vulnerability and silence — creating spaces designed not only to be observed, but deeply felt.
Rather than focusing solely on aesthetics, Wild Voices seeks to use photography as a contemporary artistic language capable of generating emotion, awareness and dialogue around the fragility of wildlife and disappearing ecosystems.
The exhibition was first inaugurated in Antequera, Spain, and is conceived as a national and international touring project.
